Atsuro Chiba

Born and raised in Japan, Atsuro discovered Yoga in his mid twenties after moving to San Diego. He practiced a few different of Yoga styles until he found Ashtanga, which touched him deeply. He started studying with Tim Miller in 2005 and he has completed the 2nd series of Ashtanga yoga teacher training with Tim Miller in 2008. His daily practice of Ashtanga at The Ashtanga Yoga Center with Tim Miller continues to change his life in a positive way and he has come to view it as a wonderful science of the mind, body, and spirit.

Holly Gastil

Holly's nurturing and light hearted teaching style reflects the flexibility she has gained, both mentally and physically, through the practice of Ashtanga yoga. She began the practice 16 years ago, and felt the call to begin teaching in 2002. Holly's first teacher, Alison Lewis, encouraged her to study with Tim Miller at the Ashtanga Yoga Center, where she continues to be challenged and inspired in her yoga practice on a daily basis.

Josh Vincent

Josh began his study of mind, body and spirit as a musician, studying classical operatic technique. Upon completion of a Master of Music degree from the University of Indiana in 2001, Josh moved to Chicago to join the chorus of the Lyric Opera of Chicago and the Chicago Symphony. In Chicago Josh devoted himself to a disciplined study of Ashtanga Yoga with Jodi Blumstein, Quinn Kearney and Tom Quinn. Since then Josh has studied in-depth with senior teachers such as Richard Freeman, Gabriel Halpurn and Tim Miller. Josh teaches both the traditional Ashtanga vinyasa method , as well as more contemporary vinyasa-flow style with an emphasis on precise breathing technique and alignment. Josh also sings seasonally with the San Diego Opera Chorus.

Natasha Teran
Growing up in South America, Natasha developed and nurtured a passion for fitness, health and well-being at an early age. Her devotion to continual growth and improvement led her to explore personal training and nutrition while at the same time embarking upon a successful career in tap dancing. Upon coming to the United States, she discovered her path to yoga. In 2003, she began studying with Tim Miller, where she teaches now. Natasha incorporates the lessons she learns from her own rigorous daily practice into her classes: her oft-repeated mantra is "Practice, practice, practice!" She also inspires students by incorporating her yoga-inspired philosophy in every aspect of her daily life. Her classes themselves are an invigorating combination of discipline and fun which focus on proper alignment, the building of strength, and individual improvement. Her experience, energy, and enthusiasm inspire her students to grow stronger both physically and mentally.

Pete Hurley
Pete was introduced to Ashtanga Yoga and Tim Miller in 2003, and has maintained a daily asana and pranayama practice ever since. He was fortunate to practice with Sri K. Pattabhi Jois on several occasions including a brief visit in Mysore, India before his passing. He completed Tim's 1st series teacher training in 2006 and 2nd series teacher training in 2008. Pete has been practicing Buddhist chanting and mediation for 15 years and was immediately drawn to the spiritual aspects of Ashtanga yoga (especially pranayama) which both compliment and enhance his inward journey and awareness of spirit, mind, and body. Although he considers himself more of a student of yoga then a teacher; his passion and intense study have evolved into the next step of his path - helping others. Pete produced a free detailed video on Youtube of the primary series with an emphasis on breath, and he also hosts yoga retreats in Costa Rica bi-monthly.
